loss of tradition

wanted to post this on 23 nov, when the last batch of interns were supposed to leave, but... things happened.... so...

was really disappointed at this feeble pair. don't get me wrong, it was never anyone's intention to "tekan" the interns or embarrass them or humiliate them.

i want to believe that our company culture in scrawl is that of a fun and relaxed environment, where people remember us for the crazy things that we do, and most importantly, how we can laugh at ourselves

that day, i just felt that this whole spirit was totally destroyed. other than being part of our "tradition", i think this is how we remember our interns by. whenever we recall the way felicia was "conned" into singing us a CNY song, or how kar fai danced to moulin rouge, or how impressive wushan's kungfu kicks were, it would put a smile on all our faces. now when we think about the 2 of them, we can only sigh

i guess i was exceptionally disappointed because i happened to walk to the MRT with the 2 interns one evening, and i told them how impressed i was with my colleagues at scrawl, when they were grouped together only 1 afternoon and had that same afternoon to put together an item for Scrawl IDOL at Krabi. Not only did everyone do it sportingly, i dare say they did a VERY impressive job, given the amount of time and resources they had. once again, SUPERB job! well done, pple!

that's why i was very disappointed that day.

we lost a chance at creating good memories
we lost an opportunity to laugh at ourselves
we lost a part of who we are
we lost a part of our tradition

my only hope, is that we do not lose hope, in finding back who we are

The fish had gone to heaven

Today is a sad day..on arrival to scrawlstudios and to the lounge, the guppies and the small fish had all died.They were plastered to the pump.. and the death was grosteque.
Cause of death(COD)- lack of oxygen caused by the malfunction of the pump
Fortunately, thanks to my quick and heroic response,plus superb agility,
I manage to transfer the 2 surviving guppies and the two "sucker fish" to the other tank.(please dun thank me, it is the least i can do.. if only it was the goldfish,,my bet is up soon,damn!!!!)
I hope they survive the ordeal in the other tank.
Please send all condolences to valerie and dahiyaht for their dedication and TLC(tender loving care) to the fish these past few months
They do not accept money donation.. please buy a fish , if any one want to send their condolences to them.. or at least pat them on the shoulder or give them a hug as a show of support.
One more thing.. i lied.. the fish did not go to heaven..they were flushed down the toilet bowl with help from chong chen.. so i think they are together with the filth.. grime and shit..somewhere under us

ps.The plural of fish is fish, not fishes.. many fish are still called fish, not fishes..

Ok lah... anyway noone mention how long each person will be drawn for right? Can't forever stuck with one item to draw with right?

Anyway. Why not let's do this. The one who kena chosen for the previous round chooses the next victim...I mean...person for the next round to be drawn. Sounds fair? So at least by the end of the day everyone gets the chance to sabo...err...i mean...choose the next guy/girl. Each week there will be a new person to get drawn. Then juz go on and on lah....until everyone gets their turn... Since this blog was startd on a Thursday, then might as well each Thursday pass the baton loh. Can?
